Snow Day
No matter how much a person hates cold weather, you gotta love snow. When it first falls, it is so fresh, clean and pure. Personally, I enjoy the crisp winter air as long as it's not windy combined with cold and wet snow (something Jack and I encountered on our walk home from dinner last night).
Speaking of dinner, last night we tired a new place in our neighborhood. The name of the resturant is La Mora. I had Grilled Duck and Jack had Tandoori Chicken, both were yummy. For anyone that lives in Chicago, make the trip and give it a try. During Retro on Roscoe (a yearly street fest) they serve some fabulous Sangrias.
Anyway, back to the snow day, Kegan and I went for our morning walk and he got to wear his dog boots. I get the impression that he thinks he is pretty stylin' in his boots. We returned home and watched Jack shovel the sidewalks and put down salt to keep the ice away. I was going to shovel myself but hubby came to my rescue--sigh. He's so sweet. Nothing sexier than a man with a snow shovel on a winter's day--hehe.
It appears it will snow all day. Can't wait till later when the people that still have Christmas lights up turn them on; they always look so cool against the new fallen snow.
